Got lots of lovely single skeins in your stash? Wondering what to make with them?

We’re no strangers to a bit of light enabling over here at The Golden Skein. We love all things hand dyed almost as much as we enjoy encouraging you to knit with them. Freeing your Golden Skeins has always been a central mantra in our ongoing quest to seek and find new and exciting dyers and yarns for our customers to try. We’re equally passionate about encouraging everyone, not just club members, to go into their stashes, find those precious skeins and fulfil them.

It can be a little daunting, trying to pick the perfect pattern to go with your favourite skeins, in order to do them justice. Well, we’re here to help solve that problem with #FreeYourSkeins2015

Stash down and use those beautiful yarns with 365 days of enabling from us!

This is our take on a Project 365. What else would be more fitting than a year of finding a brilliant one skein pattern a day? We’ll be sharing these on the blog here, along with our suggestions of what sort of yarn bases we would use for them. They’ll also be pinned on the FreeYourSkeins 2015 board on Pinterest, so you will be able to browse them all in one place. We’ll also be sharing on all our favourite social media, as we know some of you prefer some channels over others.

There will be a thread over on Ravelry for project ideas, chat and finished objects inspired by #FreeYourSkeins2015. Tag your projects on Ravelry too with ‘FreeYourSkeins2015’ so we can have a look!

We’d love to hear your favourite one skein projects and may feature them in our 365, so feel free to share them with us!
