Warm and stylish hands with this statement accessory
Knitting gloves with fingers doesn’t seem to be top of the list when it comes to accessories, perhaps because fingerless mitts are less fiddly to knit and can produce just as good an effect. However, these textured, cabled gloves take it to the next level in statement knitwear. Particularly in the current cold weather – not so much in the Southern hemisphere, granted – this pretty design allows you to show off some saturated and jewel toned yarns and brighten the dreary winter days.
This pattern is an excellent accompaniment to high twist, 100% merino yarns as well as the ubiquitous 75% Merino/25% Nylon blends. Best suited to a nice, rich, semi-solid, there is plenty of detail in the pattern knitting to keep the accomplished knitter interested, whilst providing an achievable challenge for the newer knitter. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a particular fan of the cabled design along the top of the little finger. You can cradle your hot chocolate and extend that pinky in style!
What would you knit this in?
