The only thing better than freeing a single skein with a pattern…is freeing three!

The perfect little fun project to use up multiple single skeins, today’s pick was in no way inspired by a stream of images on Instagram posted by A Playful Day. The 3 Color Cashmere Cowl is a great way to use up both full and partial skeins of special yarns. Choosing colours, textures and patterns to suit you makes this an easy going knit where you can let your imagination run wild with possibilities.

Joji opted for a bit of luxury with a 65% Cashmere/35% Silk blend from Miss Babs, but this cowl will work in pretty much any blend of yarn. Mixing up the bases would give an interesting effect, both in terms of structure and appearance. Likewise, the addition of a lively colour way and simple stitch combination could add an edge when teamed with textured stitch patterns in a semi solid colour way. The world is your oyster with this pattern, priced at USD $4. There’s even a dedicated KAL ongoing for it, details for which can be found on the pattern page.

What would you knit yours in?
