Experiment with different leftovers
‘Neon’ by Asja Janeczek has an interesting construction, which produces a stunning and unusual effect in the finished object. There are many ways you could go with this pattern when choosing your yarns to give a wide variety of different interpretations. A great way to use up leftovers if you go for the two colour option, it would be equally pretty in a single colour which allows the texture to shine through. Gradient or self striping yarns could add a really funky dimension.
Yarn wise, I’d plump for the old faithfuls here, such as 75/25 merino/nylon sock blends or perhaps 100% BFL or merino. You want a yarn with decent stitch definition and a bit of structure to really allow the texture to stand out; consider some of the more ‘sheepy’ breed yarns for something a little different.
What would you knit yours in?
