Elepfun!

We’re rocking the super cute, matchy-matchy headwear this week with the beautiful ‘Rose and Lily’ pattern by Lenka Ilcisin & Emily Williams. Forget the matching family Aran jumpers. Matching elephant hats is where it’s at.

For the smaller sizes, this would be a great way to use up partial skeins and leftovers, or you could use full skeins and make multiple small versions for the younger members of the family. Of course, it’s an equally nice pattern for adults too. Always a winner to have such a range of sizing in a pattern.

Yarn wise, go for a semi-solid or solid to allow the motif to stand out. Tonal pairs look good together for this type of hat, as anything very bright or loud may detract from the elephant detail. A good, bouncy BFL would be a solid base choice; merino would also work nicely.

What would you knit this in?
