Hot off the press!

Nothing like a brand new, just-released pattern to get you reaching for those needles, and ‘Braeriach’ is no exception. Combining Glasgow-based Amanda as designer with Edinburgh indie vintage yarn supremo, Jess James of Ginger Twist Studio, was always going to end well in fairness!

For this sort of lacy detail, a semi-solid yarn is best, keeping it on the medium to light side of the spectrum to allow the pattern to shine through. A sock blend of 75/25 merino nylon or indeed the 80/20 BFL/nylon called for in the pattern will ensure these pretty socks last and can cope with climbing the odd Munro or two!

What would you knit these in?
