Coordinate your colour scheme

This fun pattern from Allyson Dykhuizen is a great way to add a touch of the hand knit to your room and pull a colour scheme together. ‘Excelsior’ is a versatile pattern for a wall hanging, in which you could either specially select shades to match in with your theme, or use up scraps you have lying around. It would be a perfect way to bring together and preserve leftovers from memory projects, or even as the start of a whole new interior scheme!

In terms of yarns, the sky really is your oyster with this one. Feel free to play around with novelty yarns to create interesting textured effects for a child’s room, or go cool and sophisticated for a grown-up space.

What would you knit yours in?
