Teapot fun

Of course it’s time for a little more KD appreciation: who doesn’t love a cute little sheep? And who doesn’t love a tea cosy? The two combined has us reaching for the needles!

The fantastic ‘Sheep Carousel’ is the ideal addition to any self-respecting knitter’s teapot. It’s also a great learning tool, with a number of techniques shoehorned into this pattern, such as steeking, i-cord and centre double decrease along with the more obvious stranded colour work. You could either stick to traditional sheepy colours or go wild with crayon brights to really let your teapot stand out from the crowd. You’ll need fairly ‘sticky’ bases to cope with the techniques used, so why not try out Shetland wool?

What would you knit yours in?
