Simple, utilitarian cowl

Looking for a versatile accessory to pair with almost any outfit? The understated ‘Mira’s Cowl’ by Mira Cole would be a great pattern for this kind of item. Its simplicity is its strongest point, meaning you have a wealth of options available to you when knitting this pattern.

In terms of yarn, you could go more or less anywhere for this pattern. It will look equally good in a merino or standard 75/25 sock blend as it would in luxurious silk, cashmere or alpaca blends. The pattern is shown off to best effect in a semi-solid or solid, however, you could plump for a wild variegated yarn and still get some of the lightly textured stitch pattern whilst enjoying the effect this produces on the patterning of the yarn.

What would you knit yours in?
